Ran Assaf is a seasoned entrepreneur and investment banker whose experience encompasses cross-border M&A and private equity transactions across the US, Europe, and Asia. Ran focuses on deal sourcing, strategic advisory to both public and private companies, sell-side and buy-side transactions, co-advisory engagements, as well as the ongoing development of business relations with corporate leaders and investors globally. Prior to M+A Squared, he was the founder and CEO of Didiom, an award-winning pioneer in the streaming media and mobile software industry, which was acquired by SnapOne (formerly Exclaim Mobility) prior to SnapOne’s acquisition by Synchronoss (NASDAQ: SNCR). Prior to Didiom, Ran held various management positions at Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), focusing on corporate finance and contract management. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Babson’s Graduate School of Business in Massachusetts.
Francois Montrelay focuses on financial advisory to clients in Europe and India. Based in France, Francois provides shareholders, board members, and executives with strategic guidance on the development and execution of growth and exit strategies. He is also a board member of two technology companies in India and a Visiting Professor at Burgundy School of Business in France. Prior to becoming an M&A advisor, Francois served as Senior Vice President at ABN AMRO, the third-largest bank in the Netherlands, where he managed strategic initiatives for the bank’s Global Transaction Services group in 40 countries. Previously, he served as a Director of Strategy at Accor, one of the world’s largest hospitality groups, and a Managing Director at Louis Berger, a global engineering consulting firm (now WSP). Francois attended HEC Paris and Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agronomie de Rennes, where he received an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics.
Michal Assaf, M.D., focuses on life sciences and biotechnology transactions. She has vast experience with neuroimaging technologies, medical devices, imaging genetics, medical research technologies, and data analysis applications. Dr. Assaf has been active in medical research for more than 20 years and serves on NIH research review panels. After earning her M.D. at Tel Aviv University, Dr. Assaf completed postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University and Yale University. She currently serves as a Director at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital and an Associate Professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
